I grew up in Las Vegas and a small town in central Florida and moved to NYC to go into finance. After working as a trader, investment analyst, and investment wholesaler, I saw similarities with my industry to the floor traders of the 2000s, this time it was being led by data-driven insights and automation.
Which lead me to a journey of learning python, SQL, machine learning algorithms, and cloud storage. The best way I’ve learned is by teaching and this will be my platform of going over what I’ve learned in the past week. The great thing about learning is that sometimes the process feels like you aren’t going anywhere, and sometimes it flows like a waterfall. The main thing is to continuously study and experiment.
I wouldn’t be able to view learning in this light if it wasn’t for the Roman Stoics. The lessons they’ve taught have allowed me to take risks and prevail in situations where I would have given up or not even attempted.
